आज Indian Air Force अपना 88वां स्थापना दिवस मना रहा है। इस मौके पर Ghaziabad के Hindan Air Base में Parade और Flight Past का आयोजन किया गया है।
Air Force Day के मौके पर देश के प्रधानमंत्री ने Air Warriors को बधाई दी। उन्होंने Tweet करते हुए लिखा, “एयर फोर्स डे पर भारतीय वायुसेना के सभी वीर योद्धाओं को बहुत-बहुत बधाई। आप न सिर्फ देश के आसमान को सुरक्षित रखते हैं, बल्कि आपदा के समय मानवता की सेवा में भी अग्रणी भूमिका निभाते हैं। मां भारती की रक्षा के लिए आपका साहस, शौर्य और समर्पण हर किसी को प्रेरित करने वाला है। #AFDay2020“

इस कार्यक्रम में Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane और Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh ने भी हिस्सा लिया है।

रक्षा मंत्री Rajnath Singh ने भी Tweet कर शुभकामनाएं व्यक्त की है। उन्होंने Tweet करते हुए लिखा, “My felicitations and best wishes to the air warriors and their families on the occasion of Air Force Day-2020. Eighty eight years of dedication, sacrifice and excellence mark the journey of the IAF which is today a lethal and formidable force to reckon with. #AFDay2020“
इस मौके पर IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria ने कहा कि, “I want to assure the nation that the Indian Air Force will evolve and be ever ready to safeguard our nation’s sovereignty and interests in all circumstances”

वही इस मौके पर US Ambassador to India Ken Juster ने भी Indian Air Force को स्थापना दिवस की बधाई दी है। उन्होंने Tweet करते हुए लिखा है, “Defence cooperation is a cornerstone of the US-India relationship, as we work together to secure a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific region.”

आप सभी को बताते चले कि, Indian Air Force का गठन 8 October 1932 को हुआ था। इसी कारण ही हर साल इसी दिन Air Force Day Anniversary के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
